Who are we?
We are a grace-filled community in which everyone is Embraced, Empowered and Engaged.
Embrace
We are a warm and welcoming environment where we are intentional about fostering authentic community. Our interactions are characterized by grace. We recognize that we are both beneficiaries and stewards of
God’s grace. As recipients of God’s grace, we offer grace to all. As such,
our goal is not only to be embracing of those within our church family,
but to seek and create opportunities to embrace persons of all faiths and
persons of no faith drawing them into communion with God and each
other.
Empower
We are committed to the holistic empowerment of every member. Our
aim is to ensure the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for
the edifying of the body of Christ. The Bible is our foundation and our
compass. It informs how we live and how we love, and we will teach it in
a way that is life-giving and transformative, not judgmental and divisive.
Engaged
We are intentional about ensuring that everyone is fully engaged in living out our faith in meaningful ways which impact our communities. This will be accomplished by helping individuals find and fulfil their unique
purpose. We will also seek and create opportunities for members to
engage with and impact the culture. In essence, Freeport Community is
a serving community.
